My first night-scratch in a long while
Fully recovered from TSW since 2022, I woke up to a raw scratch on my wrist. How I talked myself down from panic and back to the basics.

Although I've been fully recovered from my TSW flares since 2022, this morning I woke up with pain on my left wrist. (Yes, I still wear gloves to sleep even though I hardly scratch in my sleep anymore.) The dreaded feeling surfaced again. Did I scratch in my sleep?!
Sure enough, I had scratched it, and it looked quite raw. A wave of anxiety, frustration, and confusion hit me.
I had a bad headache yesterday: too much coffee, and I skipped lunch (not intentionally). Could that have triggered the itch-scratch episode in my sleep? Or was it me not being careful with my diet? Or some level of stress that's higher than usual? (I slept late last night catching up on my to-do list.)
These questions are probably familiar to you too. After a few moments of deep breaths, I calmed down enough, washed the dried blood off, and applied some serum (I used Calecim Recovery Night Complex). It stung a little, but there was no further reaction.
One patch doesn't mean a relapse. Just a signal to check in with my body.
If you're going through something similar, don't panic. Come back to the basics. Eat, rest, breathe.
